Bears - I too, can't listen to the "experts" debate this topic. I was 100% in on keeping Fields right up until the Packer Game. I left that game damaged. I am now of the similar thought that we can't go wrong either way. I only lean toward keeping him because I think we have some big holes(DEnd, Center, WR, Safety and another O-lineman). I almost think we can fill all of those with the trade of No. 1 plus our own picks this year!

Bulls - I now admit that Lavine was the problem with the Bulls but I don't think he is the Primadonna that you think he is. I think that he deferred to DeMar too much and has lost his feel for how he fits in. I was watching when he hurt his knee for the second time and it was on a drive to the basket. I don't think he has ever mentally been able to shake that. He was, before that, top five oin the league finishing at the rim. Sad.

CUBS - SIGN BELLINGER. He deserves it.

The Eberflus mental exercise was a great one. Imagine him fumbling over his own words on the podium.

I'll hold off my Caleb/Fields comments until it matters.

Zach man... I know people will say he had a nice game and he did help big in overtime, but his selfishness within the flow of the offense down the stretch is what made us go into overtime. I never want to see him or Demar bring the ball up again. We need a couple of big games from him before the all star break so we can send him packing.

I just hope the Bears don’t go through the same cycle they always do of drafting a new QB with the same head coach, fire the head coach the following year and make the new QB learn a new offense in year 2. That is my main reasoning for thinking we should keep Fields and get a haul for the 1st pick.

Also, any thoughts on a Touki Toussaint break out year for the White Sox? Very excited for this White Sox season!

Eberflus sticking around is only worth it, if they hire a stud OC who then replaces Eberflus. Eberflus did get his act together though, beating Carolina, Vikings without Cousins and Jefferson, DET (nice), Falcons and Taylor Heineke and the 4-13 Arizona Cardinals. "We saw progress" Did we? Or did we just play the idiots of the NFL? He proved his in-game management too, blowing 3 games they had 95% chance of winning. #PlayoffBuilt!

Aligned on your bulls, I trust you. Dont lead me astray.

Cubs -- good pick up, still lame off season. Not saying they need to be going all in, but they do need to make a few more moves. But I'd assume they are taking their time on getting the long-term roster right. Trying to compete with Braves, Phillies and Dodgers right now is brutal and the last thing they want is get too aggressive and set themselves back. That being said, Dbacks showed -- just gotta get to the playoffs! Bellinger is almost a must I would think. Friggen Boras...I'd guess Cubs or Giants. I do think Cubs would have to overpay but turns out you have to overpay to get who you want.

The NFL is a passing league now. I can't remember the last time a team won a Super Bowl without having a top 5ish QB as their starter. In a playoff run, your QB is going to have to be clutch (as a passer) at some point and win you a game. I actually don't think Fields has ever had a successful comeback win, 2-min drive, or any clutch drive that remotely reminds you of a Rodgers/Manning/Brady. I hit such a cross-road though because I think with his talent, he can grow to be serviceable enough to win a Super Bowl. But watching that Packers game made me furious. Yes, play calling sucked, but so did Fields. He shows no emotion and I never see him being a leader on the sidelines. The haul we would get for #1 would objectively make us a better team (assuming a DJ Moore type of player is involved) than just drafting Williams. But then again, if Fields can't develop any more, you miss out on one of the best passing prospects in a passing league. And as you said, those are the ONLY two options. I'm curious to see how far back Poles would go for a trade. Does he value MHJ at 3 more than gaining extra picks/players and going to 8? I don't think he would go past the Falcons at 8. Bates and Lindstrom is where the conversation would start for me.

I will continue to vent on here until a decision is made, which will ultimately not be one of the 900 suggestions I make. That's why we are Bears fans though. A perpetual cycle.
