I was always into the Cubs, Bears and Bulls but there were favorites. 80's were the Bears, 90's were the Bulls, in the 2000's my kids were young so you follow all of them with your kids but as they get more involved in sports you have less time for Pro Sports. 2010's were the Oak Park Huskies, Foresters, Little Huskies and the Miami Redhawks. Now that the kids are grown I find myself overly invested in this crap. Hated Joe Maddon, Hate Gar and Paxson and I hate Nagy. Reminds me of the late 70's and early 80's.

The 2000s Foresters were an all-time team.

Right now it is 1. Sox 2. Bears 3. Blackhawks 4. Bulls.

During the DRose era the Bulls did make it to the #2 spot, when the Bulls are good basketball is probably the most fun sport to watch. Nowadays though they are just too frustrating and I know aren't going anywhere so I don't even bother. The Blackhawks can at least give us hope once in awhile, like this nice winning streak they are on right now. Sox are obviously frustrating as well but I like baseball more than any other sport so they will always be #1.

You're a great Bulls fan, Chris. I can always tell where the public's head is at with on the Bulls based on your current engagement. I appreciate that.

Your happiness is so tied to Jerry Reinsdorf and that just sucks.

I am omitting championship winning teams from this post.

Its hard to think of a team I could love more than the DRose Golden era Bulls. This is talked about a lot, but it wasn't just that DRose is my all time favorite athlete. I loved everything about the way Thibs demanded the most out of his players, loved the fire that Noah brought in day in and day out, the Taj Gibson hard-hat lunch pale approach, the defensive tenacity of Luol Deng, Boozer being the strange guy that I kind of hated but loved at the same time. Ben Gordon hanging dong and not being afraid to take the big shot. I even loved Keith Bogans! I'm getting nostalgic just typing this out. Couldn't give two shits about the Bulls now, hate Lavine, HATE Boylen, HAAATEE GarPax.

2003 Chicago Cubs were the earliest team I can remember that I loved. So much grit and character on this team. To highlight a few of the non all-stars: Kenny Lofton- felt like he got on base every single time he was up in the '03 post season. Kyle Farnstworth- hot-head who threw 200 Miles an hour. Antonio Alfonseca- Miserable pitcher who I couldn't help but be fascinated by because he had 6 fingers.

Boozer getting hated on here is absolutely the front office's fault. I always liked Boozer. Bad defender but played his ass off pretty much every night. The reason I say he's the front office's fault is because he's legit like the biggest free agency signing in Bulls history. So everyone expected him to be like Chris Bosh or something.

Corey Patterson is an omission there. Definitely a guy that I've kept myself from checking his baseball reference, because there's no way he's as good as I thought he was.

Used to be 1. Bulls 2. Bears 3. White Sox 4. Blackhawks. I remember idolizing Ben Gordon, then Luol, then Derrick, then Jimmy. I remember thinking John salmons and drew gooden were the missing pieces to get us to a championship with Derrick. (Still hate lebron) but now my list goes 1. Bears 2. Bulls 3. Sox 4. Blackhawks. Not much change. You only get football once a week which makes it that more entertaining for me. As much as I celebrated the blackhawks dynasty, I can never sit down and watch a regular season game without being there or gambling on it. The bulls suck and it’s depressing. Convincing myself we are getting Lamelo ball.

Dan the man! Welcome to the thread brother. We're ecstatic to have you, especially on a bleak week.

If we get LaMelo Ball, I may shut down the newsletter.

I've said this before, but I think if Ben Gordon played in today's game, he'd make like 200 million dollars over the course of his career. I remember that John Salmons/Drew Gooden year so vividly. I am totally on the same page with you. I figured they'd throw us into contention.

Gambling is a great way to get into hockey. I wanted to watch as many games as possible this year, so I took Hawks ML in like 5 straight games.
