This is tough. There's a lot of people that I hated before I had any reason to and just a lot of people in general that I end up hating. But as far as disappointment goes, I have to go with Kosuke Fukudome. I thought someone in a Japanese lab recreated Ichiro to come to Chicago. He couldn't have had a better debut in a snowy Wrigley Field, either. I still really like Kosuke, but he fell very short of my expectations.

Addison Russell. Worthless as a baseball player and worse as a person.

This one's easy for me. Felix Pie. Was the Cubs #1 minor league prospect for a couple years. Had all the tools. I happened to be in the bleachers for his first start in Wrigley on a chilly April afternoon in 2007 when he doubled off Greg Maddux. What hurt the most.....I spent $200 on an autographed bat when I was hammered at a fundraiser. Thought it was a steal. Cubs traded him the next year. I do still have the bat, though.

This is amazing. Felix Pie is exactly the kind of answer I was looking for in this exercise.

For me it has to DRose and not because of his abilities but the hype and the what could have been factor. I had not been that excited since the 90’s bulls as I thought we really could have another run in the works. I also put a lot of the blame on management as they were a joke and still are by not putting the pieces around him as well. I grew up in the 90s and those were some amazing times to be a bull fan so this one was just a total but punch for me as I thought we were all going to experience that once again.

Caleb Hanie is one that stands out. Didn't wanna take the time to dig up any preseason stats, but from my memory he was the preseason Joe Montana. When Cutler went down in the 2010 NFC Championship, I was sure that Killa Caleb would step in and tear up the Packers defense. BJ Raji had other ideas.

Another one is Carlos Boozer. After the Bulls front office (struck out) wisely stayed away from Lebron in 2010 free agency because they didn't want to have to deal with the humiliation of someone promising a city 7 rings only to leave as soon as things got a little tough, as well as force Chicago tax payers to fork over 5 million dollars a year to fund his I Promise school that he took all the credit for and made seem like he was funding entirely by himse-

anyways. Boozer was a solid 20-10 guy with the Jazz, and it took me until only about half a season to scream at my TV anytime that he was playing meaningful minutes over Taj Gibson.

In 2009, Caleb Hanie threw for 1 touchdown and 0 interceptions in a start at Buffalo. He was 8 for 11. From my research, that was his best preseason start. Not exactly Joe Montana, but he did show flashes.

If he qualifies, Joe Maddon!! Supposedly the best Manager in baseball but was instead the destroyer of a potential dynasty.

Will you watch the cubs next year if they resign Maddon?

Jay Cutler, I really thought we were going to win multiple Super Bowls with that guy. 7 years and 1 playoff appearance later, I was sorely mistaken.

And even worse yet, he's probably the best Bears quarterback of all time.

As ridiculous as this sounds, I thought Niko mirotic was the second coming of dirk which would give us a ring 2014-15. Couldn’t say I was right or remotely close.

I'm right there with you, brother. Five years later and he plays for FC Barcelona and still can't pump fake.

Mark Prior. 6 year old me thought he was gonna win the cy young every year for the next decade.

He was also one of the first Chicago sports figures who we always thought was eventually going to come back from injury. He had a good offseason, Prior feels great, etc. It just never happened.

Gotta go Gordon Beckham for the Sox. Had a fantastic rookie season and then just shit the bed the rest of his career. Sox fans thought he would be the face of the franchise.

Andrew, I hate to put his name here but for the Bulls you can argue Derrick Rose. Through no fault of his own he was still a disappointment due to the expectations we had for the Bulls and him leading the team.

The only issue with Rose is that he did win MVP. His career is a disappointment based on that level of expectation afterward.

I got an easy one. The combo package of Brett Jackson and Josh Vitters.

Also, a young Brandon thought Nomar was going to turn things around....
