The day the White Sox are eliminated from any postseason action. That day is usually around September 1st every year (well actually April 1st). That day moves well into October beginning 2020 and beyond!
I'm not the biggest NBA fan, but when the NBA championship ends you know you're in for a long couple months of baseball. I know this doesnt stick with theme of the newsletter this week, but I have to let some anger out. Anthony Miller might be my least favorite Bears player of all time. He's a complete jack ass who fucks up constantly and then will proceed to talk shit to the opposing player every single play. Just shut the hell up and go back to the huddle. Bear down
Definitely the Monday and the whole month following the Super Bowl. Football is over and you are in the worst month of the year. NCAA Tournament is too far away. NBA and NHL are in midseason boredom. Hold on as best you can til St. Patrick's season arrives.
Agree here. I can't get into midseason NBA and NHL unless the Hawks/Bulls are competitive which I don't see happening this year. Bulls definitely not, Hawks seem too streaky.
Over the last 6 years, I'd say about a month after the end of March Madness has to be the worst time of the year. I can get by post March Madness with baseball getting underway, but once that honeymoon ends I can't stay focused on a 162 game season outside of the Cubs. Not being able to watch day games at Wrigley makes it tough, and I can't watch the NBA regular season and give a damn when the Bulls suck and sub .500 teams are fighting for playoff spots.
Go Bears. Can't wait to boat race the Cowboys Thursday and buckle in for a week 17 matchup against the Vikings with playoff implications. The Bears are red hot and I am ready to have my heart broken.
I am officially all the way back in. LETS GO BEARS!!!! And the only reason I'd disagree is because of NHL/NBA playoffs. End of the NBA regular season is brutal, but that's when baseball is starting. You get some nice overlap there.
First off, tough look for me having an accountant be the MOL of the Week. Being an accountant sucks in general, don’t need further negativity brought on to us with Ted Phillips bringing his idiotic takes to the world.
The worst sports come down of the year has to be the end of March Madness. Going from being able to watch and gamble on dozens of games a day to no exciting basketball is brutal.
Feel like New Years day/ the couple days after have to be in the convo over the last few years. Not only did you get hyped about the CFP only to realize that next Monday you'll be watching Clemson and Alabama again and not care who wins, but there is also a good chance you made some questionable decisions on the 31st. Bear down

Rico! Welcome to the thread!
Nothing worse Rico... even if your team stinks all year it hurts when you get the notification that they're mathematically eliminated.

Piggy backing off having an uncle who is an account, I can also confirm it is great. When is national accountants day?
Jacob, this is the place to let out the frustration. I agree. I really don't care how many yards he went for.
Also, dog days of baseball is brutal. Especially for a betting man.

Strong candidate

Bears +10,000 to win the NFC. Lock it in.

Emmett, we love our SGCTChicago accountants. We have a strong contingency.
Also, as I have been saying forever, "Let the kid throw the ball downfield"!

Post-New Years is really when the depression starts. National championship game doesn't get the juices flowing like it used to.
I think you're forgetting about the end of the MLS season...
Does anyone else feel like the National Championship/ Super Bowl is even more depressing when it's in a dome?
I'm a fan of the domes. I don't like a rainy Super Bowl and hated when the Panthers/Broncos Super Bowl looked like it was in broad daylight.
