Obviously I know very little about the semantics of the draft, but the Bears were also picking 5 picks after that. Maybe wait and see if you can get him at 169 before jumping to 163 and offering next years higher round draft pick? But what do I know.

Being about your age when the Piston thing was going on, you can't even imagine the intensity of that rivalry and the hate for them even though they had Mark Aquirre(Chicago/DePaul Legend) and Thomas(who we played against in High School). They were pieces of shit and I am so happy Horace Grant got to call them what they were, "Straight Up Bitches".
I am glad to see Rodman get his due. There are very few people who earned the level of respect he earned from Jordan. Adding to the story, of Jordan going to his hotel room to get him.....do we think Jordan flew to Vegas to do that? If so, WTF?

Lastly, Jerry Krause dancing on that plane better be all over Social Media today. That was worth the 10 Part Series just to see that clip. Thank god he passed away or he would be getting abused today.
I actually did not hate the Bears draft. Kind of liked it. I get why people are mad about the Kmet pick, but as I think you've said, if you have 10 tight ends you have zero. He was the best tight end in the draft, and we were able to get him at 43. Hopefully he can contribute a bit right away and be the tight end of the future. I think it would've made sense to trade like a fifth rounder for OJ Howard rather than drafting him, but I'm OK with a Chicago kid going to the Bears. Jaylon Johnson is sweet, and I think him and Fuller will be one of the best corner combos in football. Don't understand why we drafted another cornerback, and I'm pretty sure 75% of our roster make up is cornerbacks and tight ends.
This doesn't mean that I am done thinking Ryan Pace is an arrogant douche, but I don't think there is any reason to be mad about the draft. I would've also loved Delpit or Winfield, but I'm happy with getting the top tight end.

It's worth mentioning that Graham and Kmet aren't exactly fighting for the same position. I think the point still stands, though.
EVERY GOOD TEAM HAS A GOOD TIGHT END! It wasn't a need. It was essential. The Bears got two first rounders in the second round. Good Draft!
