I felt like a woman who has just found out that her husband has a whole separate family in another town. Everything was a lie. I have been completely and utterly bamboozled. As you said, NOTHING worked. Nothing was better. We looked worse than last year.

Why wouldn't we have blitzed Love significantly in that game? That is what you do to young quarterbacks! Confuse them!

Why didn't we run any read plays for Fields? He is an extreme threat and even though we don't want to run him much, there HAS TO BE the threat that he will run!

And I, too, cannot understand why when he breaks the pocket he is not looking to draw the linebackers to him and dump it over their heads? It makes him so much more of a threat.

I have literally no optimism for Sunday. They are going to have to earn that back.

Lastly, maybe your friend shows up to your place 10 years later and sees you watching the Bears and that makes him walk away with a smile on his face. Because we all know that is what will happen.

He wouldn't walk away, though, if I was watching the Bears. He would come in and watch with me. That's the point.

Just got thru your week one analysis and it was spot on. Unfortunately we now have week two to wrestle with. My only thought would be to challenge your readers to create an anagram with Enerflus’ HITS motto…Keep up the good work

Ultimately, that summary could have been written after Week 1 or Week 2.

And that sounds like a great challenge. Let's do it.

Thank you for reading!

I'm holding a ticket for Cole Kmet under 0.5 tackles broken this year.

Last year weren't we a top rushing team in the league? Maybe even THE top rushing team in the league? and what did that get us..... the worst record in football. Running the ball does not equate to wins in the modern game. The only pass that was 5+ yards down the field was an audible and it was a touchdown. Is it Fields, Getsy, or both? For all things holy, can we please have one offensive game that revolves around Fields' strengths? O-Line was piss poor and yet we let Fields bake in the pocket. The result was a combination of a million horrible things but I am really hoping the overarching factor was that the Packers defense was/is just that good.

Also for all the Packer fans that complain about never having a 1st round receiver and constantly drafting lineman on both sides of the ball with their 1st round picks, I hope they realize the value there. You can have a sub-par skill positions as long as the trenches are dominant. And if you have "dominant" skill players, they can't perform without the trenches (Bears). Sunday was the perfect representation of that.

Completely agree with the second paragraph here.

In regards to the first, even if the Packers defense is that good, the game plan was the same on the first drive as it was on the last drive, which almost keeps me from handing a ton of credit to the Packers specifically. The Bears helped the Packers bury them.

The time Jordan Love had to throw was so concerning. It was overwhelming how much more time he had to throw than Fields did. The one bright spot was Roschon.

And don’t get me started about my fantasy team!

My dad has not forgotten about the Northwestern Pull-over he thinks he has coming his way.

Wow. I totally forgot about the pullover. How many wins?

Does he really still want to rep Northwestern after all the heinous crimes committed?
