Marquee Sports Network just passed coronavirus for public enemy number one. I mean what the hell is going on. Ricketts doesn't care about the working man and I hate him for the time being.

Here's a possibly unpopular opinion; I think we should spend some time watching the games we want to forget. I've watched Kerry Wood's 20 strikeout game, watched the Bears beat the Packers, and do love the good times. But to appreciate the sun, you gotta know what rain is. I want my heart broken by the Cubs or Bulls or Bears soon. I miss that pain. I want to feel something and I think the SGCTC community should all relive a heartbreak together. I want to complain about how Lou Piniella mishandles the bullpen or some shit. I don't know, maybe it's Monday and I'm depressed and want others to feel the same way. Misery loves company.

Go Cubs, Go Bears, Go Bulls, and Go Hawks.

One MAJOR silver lining to the NBA season likely being cancelled is that all of us who put an uncomfortable amount of money on the Bulls to win more than 32.5 games will get our money back.

Absolute no brainer move by Big Art to fire Gar within minutes of him being formally announced, but it made me so damn happy.

The energy we put forth was worth it in the end. Honestly the perfect scenario: disaster season that led to Gar Pax being fired and reassigned and we lose no money.

You captured Farmer perfectly!! He was not my favorite as a radio play by play guy or analyst. He was definitely better as an analyst. Personally I think the best analysts are pitchers, ie. Stone, Smoltz, Sutcliff. Farmer was ok but he had great passion for the game and for the Sox in general. In the last couple years listening to him I couldn’t decipher if someone got a hit or who was batting. He was telling stories and lost the purpose of being a play by play guy. I would listen and think to myself what the hell is going on in this game!! Oh well! Even after that I still enjoyed him and wish I could put my radio on and here even Ed right now. RIP to the Southsider!!

Thanks Rico! He was not great at maintaining focus towards the end there, that's for sure haha. It's just always a treat when the guy calling the games is not much different from you.

Great Benetti video, I had no idea Ed Farmer brought the whole damn squad with him to games. If you was with him shootin' in the gym, he was bringing you to the booth, I think we'd all do the same if we were in that situation. I remember driving to baseball games in the summer and always listening to Ed on the radio. Great radio voice and he was an awesome announcer back in the day. This is another really good video that SoxTV posted last year:

I got every Sox pitcher on that list besides god damn Hector Santiago. Nice to see lefties just absolutely dominating that list though. Also, the Cubs would steamroll their division in the cactus league, no wonder you like that league so much. Too bad they won't make it past the Dodgers in the CLDS.

I wouldn't have gotten Quintana without the 2010-on hint. Even with it, would not have expected him to be that high.

Great tribute to Ed, I used to make excuses to stay late at work so I can catch the game on the radio on my drive home, he'll be irreplaceable.

Thanks Drew. There's nothing like listening to baseball if it's done right. There's something magical about consuming a game in the exact way your grandparents would've consumed it... and still thoroughly enjoying it.

It’s refreshing to see college football coaches (Kirk ferentz), admit that we have bigger issues on our hands than whether or not there will be a college football season. That guy gets it, go

Hawks.
