#FREETD Hopefully, I won't get cancelled for my comments this week. I want the author of my favorite newsletter to give me my due credit. I hated Nagy in 2018 and blamed him for his development of Trubisky. I can play this game all day about how bad Nagy is. It startles me that someone that bad could advance through the league to where he is now. If he had ANY talent we would see small little progressions. Instead we see the reverse. And stop calling for Trubisky to return. Nagy has already destroyed him. Now he is making a Super Bowl MVP QB look like the worst QB in football. When week after week announcers call out the coach for moronic decisions, you have to recognize how bad this is. Run a fucking crossing route with a fucking slot receiver against a linebacker!!! Have some hot routes when they are blitzing for the tenth straight time. Use your tight ends. For the love of god do something other than what you keep doing over and over with negative results.

The saddest part is that the defense is really good. If they had an average offense, the defense would have the best stats in the NFL. I will continue to watch, because that what I do, but I am emotionally detached.

Enough with the hashtags.

Yes, you did call this in 2018 to a tee. You deserve credit. Agreed on all of the offensive remarks as well.

The defense being stuck in this situation is so sad, and such a waste.

I don't even have anything to say. Say what you want about him building a good defense, but he has to be one of the worst people at his job out of any job all time. No matter what your profession is you can't only be good at 50% of it. But this dumbass with his smug fuck face gets to keep having the best job in the world. He's passed Mitch Trubisky for person I want to punch most in the entire world. That's not an exaggeration, if you gave me one face in the world to get a free shot on it would be Ryan Pace. You literally could not put together a worse unit if you tried. Outside of Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney, I hope each and every last one of those pieces of shit on the offense is out of the league next year. They should never have another chance to step on an NFL field. Hell, even a practice field.

Ryan Pace has drafted one quarterback and two OT's in his tenure. That's how he builds a defense, spends every fucking pick on them!! And then when he does want to draft someone on offense, he has to use 24 picks to trade up 3 spots to get them.

Can you finally admit David Montgomery fucking sucks though??? Please don't make me watch that slow piece of shit run the ball up Cody Whitehair's ass one more time. The 4-headed monster of Artavis Pierce, Ryan Nall, Cordarelle Patterson and Lamar Miller looked a trillion times better than him.

Fuck the Bears. I hate this. Nagy, Pace, Trubisky, and David Montgomery can all share a room in hell. Fuck.

I don't think David Montgomery sucks by any means. He does lack breakaway speed, which we desperately need.

Hey Andrew, another great article. I switched to Criminal Minds in the 2nd half to avoid watching this trainwreck. One area we sort of disagree is that I put more blame on Pace. The GM of the Pirates lost his job because he traded 2 all stars (Meadows and Glasnow) for a bust (Chris Archer). Pace has to answer for the Trubisky trade. Just like Carlo had to answer for Sonny in the Godfather. (Among a few other questionable moves, Ginn) I like Cole Kmet a lot, big ND Fan. However we dont use him, so basically wasted the 44th pick for no immediate help. We needed an OL or Secondary help. Headscratching. Yes Nagy should go. Why are we saddled with the worst collection of GM's in the sports world ? (Paxon (too long), Bowman (just awful) Hahn is great but Jerry tied his hands. Pace is brutal. Just a step ahead of Phil Emery.. And yes, Mack is held 10 times during a game. I feel bad for Foles, he took a beating last night. As hard as it must be for you, keep the articles coming !!

Absolutely agree. Not to mention Robert Quinn, who we threw a bag of cash this offseason just for me to wonder if he's even on the field.

My only point was that at least Pace, on his end, has done some redeeming things. Nagy is an offensive guy that has led a bad offense the last three years.

I want to give up. I feel like a broken record. Good defense horrible offense. Blame goes from Mitch to Foles to O-Line to Nagy and i am just really tired of it. It truly is effecting my life. I go into the work week after 4 bears losses and my motivation is significantly diminished. I almost want to unsubscribe because it pains me to relive the game week after week (I would not do that Donny). I am with Carrico on this one. Every player on the offense needs to be fired except for A Rob and Mooney. I am not sold on Montgomery because of the play style required to be successful in the NFL nowadays. We have shutdown two of the best running backs in the league back to back weeks and have nothing to show for it. We lose to Ryan Tannehill and Jerk Cousins.

Four weeks ago we were 5-1 and I commented on your post saying we were legitimate contenders. I fully believed this Amazing what time can do to a man.

I am excited for this draft because of how depressed I am with being a bears fan. That said, I think we are in a real tough position at the four spot because it seems like the only franchise changing talent is Edwards, Ball, Wiseman. That’s at least what it seems to the average eye but hopefully I am wrong as every draft is full of sleepers. Even if we trade up it does not change that our roster is outstandingly below average. I do like the direction the team is headed but do not believe much will change once this draft is complete. I know you are skeptical of LaMelo and I do not blame you but I think if we can make a move to get him we should.

Well said all around my man. Now's not the time to unsubscribe. You can't unsubscribe from a lifestyle. Plus, the Bulls are here to save us.

I have problems, major ones, with Ball and Edwards. Both are really talented but sloppy overall. Every player in this draft has at least one major flaw. I lean toward someone who is either a surefire playmaker, surefire defender, or both. We'll see.

The first fucking person that needs to be fired at Hallas Hall is Ted Phillips. Let’s go ahead and do this whole process over again and have our guy Ted hire a new “consultant” to whiff on yet another gm and coach.

I seriously don’t know if I can mentally go through another coach/gm search if that guy still has a job.

Well, at least we have the NBA draft tomorrow.

If you need a consultant to help you do your job, you probably aren't doing a good one yourself.

The process is so goddamn exhausting, I'm with you, I may have to tune the Bears out for a while, as much as possible.

"LaMelo from 40 feet! It's off the mark! But boy this kid looks good in a Bulls uni doesn't he Stacy?"

This town needs the Bulls FO to give Stacy a team to get excited about and fast.

Nagy has to be the worst coach in the history of the NFL. Is it our fault for Nagy being such an egotistical jack ass by donning him an "offense guru" and running with that? The Jaguars for crying out loud trot out rookie 6th round draft picks, Jake Luton, and have a much better offense than we do. If you were to take all my knowledge of football away and ask me who the bears signed to a 5 year 70 million dollar deal in the offseason, Barkevious Mingo or Robert Quinn, I am whole heartedly saying Mingo. Good thing its the exact opposite and Quinn plays about 10% of the defensive snaps a game. I said last night I don't think the bears are going to win another game the rest of the season, but being an optimistic bears fan I looked through the scheduled and came to the conclusion that we could easily go 8-8 or even 9-7. In the newsletter you said the bears would need to make drastic changes to get the season back on the right tracks, I think they did by giving the Lazor show the reigns and we all saw how that worked out. I can't help but think that Nagy is somewhat happy that the Bears flopped in Lazors debut. As always, Bear Down.

In fact, Quinn may would be one of the last players on the defense that I'd name if you asked me with no knowledge who got that money.

To top off the suck fest that was last night, this Chicago Bears team will go down as Kirk Cousins' only win on MNF in his career. Another feather in Nagy's cap. Impressive stuff.

And Kirky really thought he did something to contribute to that. 19 points, bud.

I agree and disagree about the QB situation going forward. I wholeheartedly believe that if the Bears took Watson as their QB, we would still have the same problems. We may even be tweeting that we should've taken Trubisky as we watch him tear it up with the Texans (Hot Take). The problem isn't the quarterback. If Trubisky was really as bad as people say, a former Superbowl MVP should've come in and done at least SOMETHING. But he has been worse. Much worse. You couldn't convince me that Trevor Lawrence turns this team around. No one can. I am a firm believer that a solid defense and a solid O-Line is enough to compete in the NFL. We have a solid defense and then some. But without an O-Line we have no chance. I wouldn't waste a draft pick on another QB just to watch our defense wither while the new QB gets run over week after week. Load up this draft on the O-Line until the offense shows they are capable of protecting a QB.

I agree that Mitch was hamstrung by the coaching staff, which I've always believed. He also was bad to start the year and Foles was immediately much better, until he wasn't. I always thought Mitch came into a bad situation. Do I think he'd be as good as Watson in Houston? I don't. But do think he'd have been a hell of a lot better elsewhere.

Everything comes back to Ryan Pace. First I’ll give credit where credit is due and he did a damn good job assembling this defense but none of that matters when you completely forget you have to also score touchdowns to win football games. So did he assemble a damn good defense? Yeah. Did he swing and miss on the most important position in all of sports 3 times? Yeah. Did he hire an incompetent head coach in January of 2018 who first started calling plays in December of 2017? Yeah. Ryan Pace time to pack your fucking bags and never return to Chicago you damn Bum.
