I would like a poll asking how many people know who Sisyphus is. I did not.

Andrew Donlan has just issued a quote fort the ages. I hope years from now people will google "Quotes about hard times" and up will pop "Have you fallen on tough times due to external factors or do you just kind of suck ass?"

Can't believe football is here. Inappropriately excited. I have heard reports that Kahlil Herbert has looked incredible in camp. I am feeling 11 wins. Need to be on the lookout for DLine and OLine help when the cuts happen.

Football starts, Baseball is over.

I think Sisyphus may be a Catholic School/Public School divide.

Once football starts, baseball feels so dull, unless there's considerable momentum. And I think Poles will be aggressive in signing depth up front after cuts. But I like that he didn't blow unnecessary money on some aging star this offseason.

You think the loan officers would decrease your interest if the economy was outperforming where it was when you took them out 5 years ago?

Baseball had 5 months to try and suck me in. Didn't work. I'll peep some playoff games. But now its football season. Cannot wait for Hardknocks

Yes, for sure they would. That's why I'm helping 'em out now. Tough times.

Regarding the interest, probably not. I took a second mortgage out on my RV Home during the economic expansion in the 1980s under Reagan & guess what, rates went up!

It’s a shame we did not sell high on Tailon. To me it seemed like Jed had no plan at the deadline. While I still think he’s a decent GM, he is not the GM we need here in Chicago. It’s time to give someone else a shot.

I actually think that is a perfectly fair take. He does a lot well, but puts unnecessary constraints on himself. The only justifiable reason to not trade Taillon would be if there was just no real market for him, and Jed didn't want to search for another decent pitcher this offseason to potentially pay more to.

Based on what teams were paying for pitching, I think there was a significant market for him. He made the same mistake with Contreras a few years ago and we ended up with nothing.

That's a great point + call back.

Plus, the White Sox got a HAUL for Fedde.

You’re maintaining the costs of programs so the Bears can go 11-6 this year. It’s all serving a purpose. #DonIsForThePeople #DoYourPart

Yes sir! That's how Karma works right? I pay my interest rates and the balls bounce the right way for my football team?
