Commenting on the Bears section before I get to the rest of the Newsletter. As you stated, it is insane that Khalil Mack hasn't gotten a holding call in his favor. It actually feels like it happens on over 60% of pass plays.

I'm not ready to give Pace credit on Jimmy Graham yet. I've spent too much time with fellow subscribers Jacob Werner and Jack Carrico and am on the "Guilty until proven innocent" "This guy sucks" "Pace is a moron" train. That 2 yard out route in the endzone ain't fooling me! Plus I started Montgom... nevermind.

I've made a lot of excuses for Mitch, blamed Nagy, Pace, their line, etc. But it wasn't until Foles came in the game that I realized how truly hindered/handcuffed our offense was with him. Is that partially Nagy's fault? Absolutely, but those downfield passes Mitch attempted throughout the game were laughable, something that any average quarterback should make.

Mitch- I do love the guy and think he has done everything the right way. You can tell his teammates feel for him, and it sucks that he sucks so badly. Excited to see what the offense can do this weekend and hopefully that will take some pressure off of the defense. I want 4-0 baby!!!!!

Building on Graham- I'm not ready to forget about those two mistimed jumps in week 1.

So I couldn't sleep last night...tossin and turning (and burnin..a cig). And then I finally realized it...A rob and Anthony Miller is the best 1-2 punch in the NFL with Foles at QB.. Look at the numbers, Quarter for Quarter, they are averaging a TD every Quarter, AND it should have been 2 TDs per quarter..A rob got jobbed, and I sympathize for Anthony Miller because how is he suppose to expect the ball to hit him in the hands when he has had Mitch throwing to him since hes been a Bear. LOOK AT THE NUMBERS! Best 1-2 punch in the game and its not even close.

Now for all the Cubs - Sox Fans out there. If you got pissed at contreres for the Bat flip...get your priorities straight, Timmy A asked for it when he hit a homerun against the Royals in the 6th inning playing for a team that sucked. That being said, I think Timmy A is the coolest athlete in Chicago at this point in time. soooooo SUCK ON THAT CUBS FANS!

Sox got about as good of a playoff draw as they could've asked for. A's have historically beat up on the Sox for the past decade, but I'll take the sox in a best of 3 any day. Chapman is out, which is huge, but you are honestly the highest person on the planet if you don't think Eloy will find a way to get hurt, if he isn't already, for these playoffs. And for anyone who thinks the sox might love tonight...they have literally NEVER lost to a left in 2020. That means its statistically impossible, it would be the an absolutely anomaly, for them to lose today. Go back to class, kids! STATS DONT LIE.

He actually is hurt, but will probably DH tonight, which is honestly best case scenario.

If he is DH tonight, means Grandal doesn't play b/c head case Gioloti can only pitch when McCann for some bizarre reason. Eloy is a piece of glass and im starting to wonder if hes a true piece of shit too

I absolutely HATED Mitch, but I do feel kinda bad for him, he has given us his all and while most of the time it was not enough, its all you can ask for. But my god am I glad he is gone. I agree with big Z on the bears having a top 5 offense, Nicky 9 incher being able to push the ball down field is going to do absolute wonders for the run game. I heard a disconcerting piece, apparently Nagy said that the receivers that were the 3rd and 4th reads on a certain play weren't finishing their routes because they had no faith in Mitch getting through his progressions and actually getting them the ball. Whoever is pissed off about 3-0 is a fucking moron, the bears don't make their schedule. All they can do is go out there and beat the teams that are in front of them. Phillip River can kiss having any more kids away after Sunday because were gonna hit him so many god damn times he is going to go infertile. BEAR TF DOWN #4thphase

Well said, well said all around. I have no doubt that our receivers will legitimately have to adjust to having a more mature quarterback in there.

Late to the party but Sunday was my personal Super Bowl. That big dumb fucking idiot is done as the Bears quarterback and the offense looked incredible. Are the Bears gonna have a top 10 offensive unit now that we have a quarterback that can throw to his second read? Probably. Fuck it top-5. Nick Foles looked great. Sunday was the first time I've watched a Bears game in 5 years and seen the Bears be able to push the ball downfield. Did Mitch Trubisky ever once hit a streaking receiver? That's an honest question and I don't think he has. I don't feel bad for the guy at all. Here's an idea: Stop being a fucking idiot and sucking at football or go find a new career.

Anthony Miller's been supposed to breakout for a while now and his time has officially come.

Allen Robinson is a top 7 receiver in the league and Nick Foles is the best quarterback he's ever had throwing to him. It's going to be beautiful.

I've never blamed Nagy for how putrid the Bears offense has been. We finally see what happens when you have a guy that can push the ball downfield and I could not be more excited. I honestly think this offense is going to take off and David Montgomery might be the steal of everyone's fantasy draft.

Ryan Pace can still go to hell.

Cubs in 2.

In the moment, I thought Nagy’s decision to pull Mitch for Foles was the quickest trigger of all time. After seeing that all 22 look, it was just a horribly incompetent decision from Mitch. And the first look of Foles on the sideline made me think Colt Brennan was coming in the game. Utterly preposterous look to go with any visor on Foles, let alone a tinted one. It’s gonna be fun to see Nagy open it up for Foles and let this offense go off. Also Ted Ginn Jr making a huge 4th down catch was sneaky the most surprising part of that game.

I don’t think I’m remotely mature enough to handle playoff baseball during the workday. A recipe for disaster on both fronts.

Great point about Ted Ginn Jr -- I forgot that was even him. And re: playoff baseball, seriously man, what's the play: turn off the phone and record it?
