Didnt get a chance to touch on that Big Doofus Eberflus. He is seemingly a good D coordinator, and a terrible head coach.

He may be the only "Yes" answer to the question: Would he take our DC job if we hired a new coach? Think he knows he's in over his head, but more importantly, he has invested $20M in his Chicago properties.

My life peaked during those glory years of d rose. Life was bliss back then. love the dude and while we don't have championships to look back on, we still have all those YouTube highlight tapes. and that's enough for me.

Im honestly still in shock at how bad the bears are. it blows my mind thinking about how consistently incompetent this franchise is. Flus and Waldron should have been fired after the game. but what would that even do? Poles would just hire the clowns next in line to take on the HC and OC job in Chicago. I feel so bad for Caleb and the defense. Sure feels like things are going to get even uglier.

Mine too, brother, mine too.

Fortunately, I think things are going to get better, actually. I may be playing too much of an optimist, but I think they'll win 2 of their next three and get on more sturdy ground -- even if the offensive coordinator and head coach are overmatched.

I scoffed at the idea of the bears unloading capital to sign Saquon Barkley this offseason, but now it appears a running back of that caliber would be necessary to get us close to league average rushing yards per attempt with this o line. I hope RB is a position that's addressed in the offseason along with the o line because if Herbert isn't going to be a part of the gameplan going forward and Roschon is just serviceable then we will need a difference maker at that position.

Marlins open a 3 game set in Toronto tonight to close out the season.

If you're going to pay above market value for a running back, bottom line, it better be one of the two or three best ones out there. Swift is not. Barkley is. That was always my problem with it.

Derrick Rose, in my opinion, may have been inch for inch one of the greatest athletes I have ever seen. It is sad it ended so soon but coming from a guy who has had four knee surgeries, I always knew it would be hard for him to ever get back to his Quick, Explosive. Powerful self again. But I cheered for him even if he was playing the Bulls.

I think we have the right QB. Now, all that should matter is his development and safety. Of course I want to win every game but we are not going anywhere with that line. Therefore, every game plan and every move we make should be in the interest of developing Caleb Williams and keeping him safe. That might involve trading for a solid OLineman using OUR 2nd round pick next year. Development and Safety!!!

I am now actively watching and cheering for the White Sox. Figure that out.

The thing about Rose, though, which I really appreciated, is that he completely transformed his game later in his career. He stopped relying on his athleticism and became a really good shooter (which he wasn't at all early on), and an awesome pick and roll player. It was a second phase of his career that was awesome to watch.

Development & Safety is a great tagline for Caleb the rest of the year.

Why root for the White Sox? They deserve no such thing.

I want a damn D Rose statue outside the United Center. Joel Anthony can have a feature in it if he wants. Will never love a team or player more.

D'Andre Swift was a good college running back for Georgia. Had the benefit of you know, being a running back behind the Georgia offensive line. Went top 40 in the draft, was the 2nd RB taken behind CEH but was the first traditional RB taken. I dont know if we're still holding on to that, but he has been nothing beyond a replaceable running back in the Pros. Roschon and Herbert provide elements that he does not.

Still holding onto hope. Wonder what it will look like with Keenan healthy, will we benefit much from another security blanket? Or is it all a wash with this line?

This sounds dumb, but I actually do think Swift is good, but only in a solid situation. That's not even a knock on him, but he's exponentially better based on the pieces around him. His talents are virtually useless with a tough O-Line situation.

I think Keenan being back will actually help a lot, and draw some more attention off DJ.

Bulls fumbled an opportunity to sign D Rose to a one day contract. Hopefully they get it right and retire his #1. Chicago sports hasn’t been the same since his injury.

#1 should undoubtedly be retired. Hopefully this year with the Knicks (and Thibs) in town.
