GREAT newsletter today.

When the Bulls get to .500 on the year in the next few weeks, given how the season started, its going to feel like we're in first place. There is a clear, explainable, fundamental turnaround happening out there and I went from saying "I guess I will at least have more free time this season because I cant watch every game of this shit" to being more invested than ever.

How can you not root for guys like Caruso, Drummond, Ayo, Carter, Craig, Pwill, Coby. Take a look at the box scores of each of these last 11 games. They're beautiful for the most part, with every player stepping up in key situations.

I would package Zach and Dalen Terry for a pack of cigarettes. And I dont even smoke.

Very excited for the next few games. This team is fun!

I am holding all Bears debates/thoughts until the off season.

Oh yeah, in 2 weeks, went from "the Bulls play tonight, don't they?" to scheduling my meal schedules are the start time. It's a good problem to have.

Forgot to mention Dalen Terry in this. He remains awful. Would love to see Julian Phillips get more of those minutes.

Eberflus WILL be the HEad COach next year. Bet on it. Also, you were a Getsey fan coming into this year so lets not demonize Eberflus for that.

Hiring a new coach is a step back. New system. Start over. Another system for players to learn.

It's true, the Bulls are fun to watch now! I don't work, so can't afford league pass, so must hope they get a national broadcast and they should get more of those as season progresses.

The Bears are not fun to watch.

Merry Holidaze to all!

Happy Holidays, Brad!

The good thing is the options to watch games out of market now are so much better. Great recaps on YouTube, good (illegal) streams, and NBA league pass free trials.

Glad you're enjoying.

Several direct shots at your father and several subtle shots at your father. Lets start with the Bulls, I admit that clearly Zach Lavine was and is a huge issue. I don't think he is the prima donna you think he is and his relationship with his teammates still seems good. I still think Donovan bore some responsibility. It took an injury for him to stumble upon the current solution. You were right about Lavine.

You are wrong about Eberflus and are right about Getsey. Ebrflus stays and Getsey gets fired. And that is the right answer. If someone is the buffoon that you make him out to be, his defense doesn't make the dramatic steps they are making every week. Players like Jaylon Johnson don't do 180's and say they prefer to stay in Chicago and "be a part of what is happening". Poorly coached teams don't get better every week. Their players quit on them and the team spirals.

I hope Eberflus is back, with Justin and Getsey is out. Add another great Dend, a great wideout and a good O lineman and that team is playoff ready.

Donovan, sadly, doesn't get to just sit his highest-paid player. You should know that.

If we could keep Eberflus as D-coordinator, I'd be in. We can't. He also dropped Justin Jones in coverage last week. Poorly coached teams lose games they're up 10 in in the 4th.

Eberflus and Fields back, with Getsy out? Or Eberflus back and Fields and Getsy out?

Here is my issue if they keep Eberflus. Let's say they strike gold with an OC who kills it with Fields...he's getting a HC Job somewhere then we are with Eberflus again. Do you believe Eberflus could be the HC of a Super Bowl team? I dont, and from my 45 seconds of wikipedia searching, looks like I am right. He needs a demotino to DC or he's on the plan with Lavine, and I'm buying that ticket.

Great defensive coordinator, bad coach. In the words of D-Mac, being a great coordinator does not make you a great head coach.

DC demotion won’t actually ever happen. But would be ideal.

I’m with you. Not a head coach. Move on.
