I dont want Nagy to be fired for 2 reasons, neither being because I think he is a good coach.

1. I want him to coach out the rest of his contract so the rest of the NFL can see how incompetent he truly is in hope that no other NFL team will hire him and make their fan base endure what we have had to this season.

2. I dont want Pace to have the say on the next coach of the Bears. He has already royally screwed us with big dumbo again. Wont get fooled again

Yeah, unfortunately I think Pace will have the chance to pick the next coach and QB.

I'd like to point out that the Bears were coming off 3-13, and then 5-11 seasons before Nagy came in last year and led them to a 12-4 season. We had a text exchange at some point last season that suggested that after its all said and done, Nagy could go down as one of the most beloved coaches in Chicago Sports history.

That being said, this season has been inexcusable, and if this type of play calling persists throughout the season and the Bears go 5-11 or 6-10 like it looks like they will, Pace will have to try and cover his own ass one way or another.

@Robby Chop Man if you want to help Nagy pack his bags, I'll be out front his house to give him a ride to the airport. Get this loser and his dipshit "quarterback" outta my city!

And that's exactly why I bet he wishes he would've gone 8-8 last year.

I do think Nagy is the most to blame at this point. The Bears should let the OC run the play calling and have Nagy take a back seat. Trubisky stinks but i would let him finish the season just to see what another offensive mind can bring out of him, Nagy's scared play calling is so damn frustrating i can't watch another game of it.

What i predict will happen next year is they bring in a new QB and see what Nagy can do with him, if we fail to make a run Pace and Nagy should be fired (OR pushed off a cliff like Robby Chop Man said). Only reason i don't think he will be fired is because he is on a 5 year deal so they will give him one more shot.

I don't even think it's about the deal. I think Pace is going to stick around and he likes Nagy enough to keep him around.

Agreed on the play calling note

Should Matt Nagy be fired? To quickly answer your question, yes he should be fired. But what Matt Nagy truly deserves is to be pushed off a cliff. This guy went on the record telling people "I'm not an idiot" and then 2 weeks later ran Tarik Cohen up the middle on the goal line. The bears have nowhere to go from here. There's no point in having a guy like mack when your offense is getting only one yard per half. Trade Mack and get some draft picks , and BLAST nagy and mitch into the effing sun.

Hell Yes! He has been the architect of this disaster from Day one. His 3-4 yard pass play calling is mind numbing. Have you ever heard of a double move? Once again, and I know I am alone in this camp, Mitch Trubisky is not as bad as Nagy is making him look. Clearly he throws better outside of the pocket or when he gets to move around. A smart coach, or an offensive genius(like we are supposed to have) designs plays to get his guy out of the pocket a la Baltimore with Lamar Jackson. The worst part, lets run dive plays to the smallest player on the field whenever we get inside the 5. The authors stat question is ALL you need to know. We hired a guy who was an offensive coordinator for FIVE games and in one of them he set the standard for yesterday's first half enema.

The Historical Perspective section in this week's newsletter would agree with you. Mitch has gotten worse. Much worse.
