This has to be number one by a long shot, right? Our head coach being a young mind coming off of winning Coach of the Year, our quarterback getting the most bets in Vegas to win MVP, number one defense returning everybody except Bryce Callahan (who was always hurt anyways). Now feeling like we don't know if we have any of the answers. I wish Mitch didn't make a couple of great plays yesterday to return any of the minimal hope I had in him in the first place. Is Nagy a problem? Fuck.
At least the Cubs are making roster improvements this winter coming off the most disappointing Cubs season I can remember. What the hell is their deal. I can't wait to pay money to watch them
Oh, and at least the Bulls can beat the Clippers but can't cover a +6 spread I got against the Hornets. The Hornets!!! Led by Devonte Graham!! In a game where they only allowed 83 points!!!
I personally did not make that bet due to my beef with Mitch. Those are two games that still hurt like hell. I think I like this team more than I liked those past teams so I'm going with this one as number one.
I guess I cannot make fun of Devonte Graham being their lead guy as Zach Lavine is ours. Everything just sucks man.
Don't have much to say. Feels like one of the most disappointing I can remember for all the reasons my man Carrico listed. Can't remember a worse time to be a Chicago sports fan.
This is a clear number one for me. Cack explained it perfectly. We thought we had everything figured out and we have maybe 7 players figured out. Pace poured so much money into our offensive line and they can’t seem to work together as a unit. Every time there’s a deep pass to the left side of our defense Prince Amukamara gets burned. Mitch’s post game comments show that he and Nagy clearly can’t work together. It all just fell apart in such a Chicago Bears fashion that I don’t even know why I’m surprised and utterly disappointed. Fuck this sucks.
The offensive line money thing is going to be a real problem. I'm going to put my head down and go to work on some numbers and tape but I can't imagine there's a much worse OL in football this year. No time, no push. If you can't win the game at the LOS you can't win games, period. Maybe the most underrated thing people are overlooking.
I know our season is over but going forward what does it take to get matt Nagy to call good plays from the start of each game? In a handful of games this year to finally get the offense to get going we had to be multiple possessions down. Is Nagy just incompetent at calling plays until we are facing a large deficit? In the raiders, eagles, lions and packers game the offense finally got it going once we were down multiple possessions. It doesn’t make any sense to me. The bears offense is so bad early in games and they finally pull it together when we are facing desperation. Why not just call better plays and run an uptempo offense from the start of the game instead of waiting to be down multiple possessions. Matt Nagy hand over the play calling duties or figure it the fuck out.
Yup, that's exactly what it is. Trailing forces him to open up the offense and is the only time they ever look competent (for the most part). If he hasn't figured out how an offense with, honestly, a good amount of talent can score at least a league average amount of points per game then I don't think he deserves the play calling duties. I think he's a good head coach, per say, and the guys like him. But I don't think he'll give up calling plays because that's in effect saying he's not up for the job.
We are in the middle of the dark ages for Chicago sports. The worst part is none of our teams are going to be good any time soon. Get comfy because we are in it for the long haul.
Not one team made the playoffs this year and it's not like any team is on the way up necessarily. The two best bets moving forward are probably the White Sox honestly and the Cubs.
Somewhere in the top 5 for me. It's hard to put this year ahead of other seasons where we were contenders like 2010, 2013, 2005. The beginning portion of the season was an absolute gut punch and had me discouraged. Where did all of the luck from last year go? Roquans issues in the beginning of the season, constant injury problems at nearly every position and a lack of a brain from our head coach, had me questioning life. Besides a few bright spots at the end of the season it never felt like we really had a chance. I mean Cmon we beat the lowly giants, the third string led lions and then the cowboys, which actually gave me hope for winning out and running the table. Where was the offense the first 3 quarters of the game? We couldnt run the ball for shit all season long, not even yesterday against one of the worst run defenses in the league. Are my hopes for next season just as high as they were for this season, you bet your sweet ass. only about 270 more days. As always, Bear Down. #4thphase #forthecause

I hate life.
If you bet on Mitch to win MVP, next time give your money to charity.
And what about losing to the Packers on the Conte trip play? Or Trestman's second year?
The Bulls are a joke, and beating the Clippers without Kawhi, Pat Beverley, or Lou Williams should not be a sign of hope, unfortunately.
Devonte Graham is kind of sweet.

I would eat half of Zach LaVine's salary if I could get Devonte graham back for him.
Gotta be the worst one I can remember given how high our expectation were. I agree with everything Jack said.

Baseball season cannot get here soon enough.

AS ALWAYS, brother. 270 more days? Is that really the count? That's so depressing.
I was so excited for this Bears season that I'm genuinely kind of embarrassed about it. STILL GOTTA COme through chicago...
